Women's Champions League Group A Results And Table After Barcelona And Benfica Women Won Their Games

 Group A games were played for Day 2 with defending Champions Barcelona Women in action. The Spanish Giants maintained their usual form as they keep their hopes to deliver again in Europe this season in intact.

Traveling to Germany was always going to be a huddle for Barcelona to scale but playing against Eintracht Frankfurt was a bit different from facing Wolfsburg Women. Eintracht Frankfurt's Freigang opened scoring for the German side in the 42nd minute of action to seal the half for Frankfurt. Barcelona Women returned with great tactics and determination that got them the equaliser by Paralluelo just 3 minutes into the second half to make it 1-1. Caldentey doubled Barca's lead in the 59th minute while Paralluelo scored her second goal in the 62nd minute to earn Barcelona a 1-3 win over Hosts Frankfurt in Germany.

Rosengard Women's travel to Benfica in Portugal ended in fruitless return for the Swedish Team after regulation time. Rosengard Women fought hard to get a first half goalless draw but the story changed in the second half when Benfica's Nazareth Sousa Scored the only goal of the game in the 56th minute to give the Host all 3 points as they beat visiting Rosengard Women.Barcelona Women are 3 points clear on top of the table in Group A.
